Our gallery building is currently being rebuilt (due for completion in August 2026). We have relocated to a temporary location nearby during construction.
OUR STORY ごあいさつ
150 years ago (1873) my great-grandfather came to Ginza from Kyoto and established traditional mounting shop (scroll and screen) and my father Yuji ABE changed to art gallery at the recommendation of woodblock artsit Koshiro ONCHI. Yoseido Gallery opened its doors in our Ginza location in 1953.
We greatly appreciate the customers and artists who have supported us over the years. We have started construction of our new building which is due for completion in August 2026. Our gallery has relocated in the meantime to a temporary location just around the corner. EXIT MELSA 7F (May 7th `24 through August `26)address : 5-7-10 Ginza,Chuo-ku,Tokyo.
We look forward to the continuing support of the artists and customers who have depended on us over the years during this transition period and we plan on a long and beneficial relationship with those artists and customers that we serve.
150年前の1873年、私の曽祖父が京都から銀座に移り住み、表具店(掛軸・屏風の表装業)を開業いたしました。その後、父・阿部雄治が版画家・恩地孝四郎氏の勧めにより画廊業へと転じ、1953年に現在の銀座の地で養清堂画廊として開廊いたしました。
